    It’s me, Dr curlyhaired idiot

    Here are my tips:

Only shampoo half the times you wash your hair unless you have a rly dirty job. You aren’t dirty, your hair evolved to be hygienic after a lot more than two days without shampoo.

Only shampoo your scalp unless you have a really dirty job, the bottom half of your hair isn’t getting the oils or skin flakes your scalp produces on it so it needs twice the hydration and half the washing.

I spend all my time at home because I’m disabled, and my home is very clean so I wash my hair ONCE A WEEK (I bathe daily) . This is best for my hair, as my hair is 3feet long and I want to stop the ends from getting too damaged and excessive brushing and washing will do that. If it’s especially hot and sweaty I wash it more. I don’t use much shampoo or shampoo very often but I don’t have greasy hair at all and am generally lucky.

Argan oil is great and really worth the investment, using it on the ends helps do what your scalp naturally does for the hair it reaches and is a great idea. And leave your conditioner in for as long as possible.

Also sleep with your hair in plaits and don’t brush your hair except before you wash it/when you need to.

These are my tips, they work for me but adjustment for your lifestyle will be necessary.
